Annual Meeting Picnic

Dear Members and Friends of Greensprings Natural Cemetery Association,

We’re holding our seventh Annual Meeting & Picnic on

Saturday, June 15, 2013

293 Irish Hill Road, Newfield, NY

12:00pm—picnic lunch

12:45pm—walking tours of cemetery

1:30pm—Annual Meeting of Members

We hope you’ll be able to join us. If you’ve come to previous annual meetings, you know we put on a good spread. (If you enjoy cooking and want to bring a potluck dish, we won’t dissuade you. But it’s certainly not expected.)

We’ll follow lunch with guided walks at 12:45pm around our burial areas and our land. If the weather’s good and you don’t mind a hike uphill, one of the groups might go up to the Carl Leopold Overlook, which—as some of you will remember—we dedicated three years ago.

The meeting itself begins at 1:30 and ends at 2:30pm. We have some important matters to tell you about—including our new gravesite and gravestone maintenance program and the grant we were recently awarded by the Natural Resources Conservation Service to improve grassland habitat for birds. And we’ll make sure there’s time for all your questions.

Directions to Greensprings are available on our website. Please visit www.naturalburial.org/directions

We look forward to seeing you!

Richard Cahoon, President

and the Greensprings Trustees
