Giving opportunities

We are deeply grateful for donations in any amount, and especially for unrestricted gifts that help us cover our operating expenses or for our land acquisition fund.

For donations great and small, your name will be included in our Benefactors Honor Roll posted at our office. Major donors will be honored with a plaque attached to their gift. (Yes, even to the backhoe!) Donors who desire anonymity will, of course, have their wishes respected.

Your donations, large and small, can help provide:

Gifts in kind:

Good shovels, rakes, hoes, loppers, heavy-duty wheelbarrow, small garden tractor with wagon, chipper, chainsaw, mulch spreader, office furniture, umbrellas, and more—let us know what you have to spare. We may be able to use it.

Tools and equipment:

From mowers to mulchers; from computers to a composting toilet for our office—or even a backhoe converted to run on used vegetable oil—your monetary donation can speed us on our way.

Education and outreach:

Your donations could help fund nature programs for school children on reforesting the landscape… or community outreach… or a burial fund for the income-challenged.

Taking care of the land:

From helping build and maintain a trail linking burial areas with the woods and meadows at Greensprings, or access lanes and a wheelchair-accessible trail… or creating a species inventory… or providing a memorial bench along one of our trails… or a comfort station with composting toilet… or a picnic area: your donations could make a world of difference.

You might even help create a pond with marshy verges perfect for birds and other wildlife, naturally landscaped with moisture-loving shrubs and aquatic plants.

Infrastructure:

Your donations could help us maintain the cottage on our property… and provide better, more powerful solar panels… or even help build a small all-faiths chapel, designed to exacting environmental standards, at Greensprings.
